Why Innovation?
Why innovation? Innovators see things that others don't. Now it may seem obvious and not difficult to imitate, but the truth of the matter is that it is more difficult to truly innovate without having first developed a higher level of cognition. Cognition is the way we think or our thoughts and as people mature in their thinking, they realize that they can offer much more of themselves to whatever they are doing. The famous Steve Jobs said, "Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower." What he meant was that while most of us prefer to stand out as leaders, very few take the necessary paths that made leaders who they are. These leaders didn't mind going against the status quo. They didn't mind the harsh criticism that accompanied them. They didn't mind the family members who abandoned them. They didn't mind the hard work it took for them to pursue their dreams.
